Activating Firebug

Firebug can be activated - turned on and off - in 3 ways:

1. The easiest and quickest is to press the F12 key which will open the Firebug pane at the bottom of your current browser window.

This is a toggle key, so if you press F12 again Firebug will deactivate itself.

2. The second method is to go to the Tools menu in your Firefox browser. There will now be a new item "Firebug", select it then click the first menu option to open Firebug in your current tab, or the second to open it in a new tab. You will probably find it easier to work with Firebug in the same window as your Wikidot page, so click the first menu item (equivalent to pressing F12):

3. The third method is to click on the Firebug icon in the lower right corner of Firefox's status bar. This is also the equivalent of pressing the F12 key:

Note: You can also right-click the icon and open Firebug in a new window:

Resizing the Firebug Pane

Once you have activated Firebug you can increase or decrease the amount of space it takes up on your screen by dragging the top of the pane up and down while holding the left mouse button down.
